CalmNCalculated makes browser-based planners for specific life events — a wedding, a pregnancy, a move, a renovation, a household budget. Each is one file you buy once and keep. It works offline, has no account, sends nothing anywhere, and does the arithmetic a printed planner leaves to you.
What is CalmNCalculated?
A shop, and a small one. Fourteen planning tools, each built for one specific occasion rather than for planning in general. It is run by one family in Gurugram, India, and everything is sold through an Etsy shop.
The shape of the product is unusual enough to be worth explaining plainly. What you buy is a single HTML file. You open it in Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox — whichever you already use — and it behaves like a small application: tabs down the side, figures that total themselves, checklists that know how far through you are. What you type is remembered by that browser, on that device.
There is no installer, no app store, no account and no server. Those four absences are not features we bolted on. They fall out of the one decision to make the whole thing a file, and most of what is distinctive about the shop follows from it.
How is this different from a printable, a spreadsheet or an app?
Those are the three things people are usually choosing between, so here is the honest comparison including where ours is the weaker option.

The last two rows are the real trade. Because nothing is stored on a server, nothing syncs — a planner filled in on a laptop is not automatically the one on a phone, and two people cannot edit it at the same time from different rooms. If live shared editing is what you need, a cloud spreadsheet is genuinely the better tool and we would rather say so here than have you find out after buying.
What you get in exchange is that nothing can be taken away. No renewal, no price rise, no service being retired, no login server going down at an inconvenient moment.
Who makes them?
Surabhi Kuthiala founded the shop and decides what it makes. She is an illustrator by trade — fineliner work, mostly mandalas — and came to it sideways, having majored in insurance and risk management and worked in banking and investment first. Since 2015 she has sold hand-drawn digital downloads on Etsy as Intrikate Ink, where the work has passed 700 orders and 80 five-star reviews. She also runs Ambiyaa, which turns those drawings into physical goods made in India. CalmNCalculated is the third of the three.
Vrishank, her son, is the shop's first intern and works on the technical side while he starts college. Amit, her husband, works on the planning and the decisions.
That is the entire company: three people, one of whom is still at school hours. We mention it because the alternative is writing "our team" and letting you picture an office, and a shop that asks you to trust it with a wedding budget should probably start by being accurate about itself.
What happens to what you type into a planner?
Nothing leaves your device. Not because of a policy, but because there is nowhere for it to go.
A planner has no account attached to it and no address to send anything to. Your entries are written into your own browser's storage, on your own machine, and that is the end of the journey. We cannot read a budget, a guest list or a due date, and neither can anyone else who is not sitting at your computer.
There is a simple way to check that claim rather than take our word for it: turn the internet off and keep using the planner. It carries on working exactly as before. Software that still functions with the network disconnected is software that was not quietly sending anything anywhere. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

What does buying once actually get you?

The file is yours in the way a book is yours. Nothing renews, nothing expires, and no part of it stops working if the shop does. Updates to a planner you already own are re-downloadable from the same Etsy order — you do not buy it again.
What you do not get is a login, a companion phone app, or somewhere in the cloud that holds a copy for you. Keeping your own backup is your job, and every planner has an export button for exactly that reason.
